Now that building is heating up in Irving, the city is offering new ways to cool off

Since home builders are building on almost every desirable square inch left available in Las Colinas, it’s nice to know that the new Cimarron Park Family Aquatic Center, located at 201 Red River Trail, has just opened daily beginning June 8 for residents of all ages to enjoy.

The new park features a main pool and children’s pool with spray features for Las Colinas families looking for a way to cool off this summer. The main pool includes a water playground, spray grounds, swimming lessons area, water volleyball, lap lanes, and two large water slides. Let the summer fun begin! Both the children’s pool and the main pool are zero-depth entry, which will allow parents and grandparents to play with their children and grandchildren in any depth of water while providing an additional measure of safety. Other amenities include multiple shade pavilions, restrooms and concessions.

Residents of Irving got to put their 2 cents in on the design of the $3.6 million Cimarron Park Family Aquatic Center. It represents the first outdoor seasonal pool built in Irving since 1979! If you are looking to make a splash north of State Highway 114 in the Texas summer heat, visit 201 Red River Trail or call (972) 721-2501.
